Virtual Workspace Environment

Virtual Workspace Environment (VWE) is a collaborative environment for learning on the Internet. The main feature of VWE is that it moves your desktop and all the applications to the Internet for access by anything with a Java Virtual Machine (JVM)! Java 1.3 Port  June 02

New release!  October 30

Progress indicator graphic from a very old NetscapeWe've been busy fixing bugs and doing small changes. A new windows server has been created. Malted is now ported and three courses are included as learning objects. Download the Linux server here and the Windows server here. The installation instructions are here.

VWE 2 Installer released  August 13

This version is based on the new JBoss 3.2.1 release and also features the Hypersonic embedded database as default. Postgres is no longer required and the correct VM is shipped with the install.
